The NRECHPTA is affiliated with the National PTA and Ohio PTA (Parent Teacher Association) and is centered on parents with children age birth to 6 years (and expectant parents too!). We are not affiliated with a specific school or religion.

Mission of the PTA:

• To support and speak on behalf of the children and youth in the schools, community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Membership

Assist in the “buddy” system; Greet & introduce new members at meetings; assist in distribution of flyers.

Hospitality

Welcome members at Gen. Meetings. Help provide refreshment item/side dish for a General Meeting.

Children’s Parties

Help set up before or clean up after one of our parties.

Adult Outings

Assist with planning one of our adult outings.

Ways & Means /Kiddie Kloset

Share in the organizing tasks for our annual spring resale event for used children’s items. Assist in fund-raising events as needed.

Community Service

Assist with Thanksgiving baskets, Toys for Tots, Easter Baskets, & other community projects

Field Trips

Assist with planning field trips

Playgroups

Assist in planning a playgroup or volunteer to host a playgroup in your home.

Historian

Assist with scrapbook by sharing photos, souvenirs, programs, etc. from activities.

Sunshine

Provide a meal or treat pack to new parents or member families with hospitalization or other special needs.

Help create monthly newsletter.
